Each week introduces a new frame and short exercises using quality extracts which build to the study of a variety of the Paris anthology texts with both the spoken and written modes. A quick cultural capital exercise and quizzes are included in each lesson, further helping disadvantaged students to bridge the gap.

This part of the scheme requires students to bring in a few empty bottles of hair or beauty products. This could also be done as part of their independent study. They need a list of ingredients from products they regularly use themselves ideally, or the teacher can just bring in some empty boxes/bottles for the students to investigate. Again, links in with the PSHE body image unit and helps students to write basic articles ready for GCSE.
